Sacramento, CA – Man Dies after Violent Motorcycle Accident on Elkhorn Boulevard and Diablo Drive

Sacramento, CA (August 28, 2018) – Recently, authorities identified the man who died as the result of a violent motorcycle crash that took place on Elkhorn Boulevard and Diablo Drive. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 9:23 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018. As of today, authorities have identified the deceased motorcyclist as 20-year old Sacramento resident Roman Finchkin. No details concerning the identity of the motorist involved in the crash were revealed.

Based on the report from the California Highway Patrol, Finchkin had been riding a motorcycle along Elkhorn Boulevard when, for indeterminate reasons, a second vehicle, suspected to be a Toyota, plowed into him. As a result of the impact, Finchkin flew from the motorcycle, while the larger vehicle caught fire.

Sometime later, emergency personnel confirmed Finchkin had died at the accident site.

Meanwhile, officials also reported the motorist suffered non-life threatening injuries and may have been hospitalized.

As of now, authorities are still looking into a probable cause for this deadly crash. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
