Sacramento, CA – Motorcyclist Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver at Lemon Hill Avenue and Sampson Boulevard
Sacramento, CA (July 29, 2018) – According to a report released by the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist suffered injuries after a hit-and-run early Saturday morning in the vicinity of Lemon Hill Avenue and Sampson Boulevard. The injurious crash that reportedly took place at the intersection was said to have occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident shortly after it occurred, and stated that a motorcyclist had been struck by a motor vehicle at or near the intersection of Lemon Hill Avenue and Sampson Boulevard. The incident log went on to mention that the motorcycle rider was found lying down in the roadway with relatively minor injuries.
Paramedics along with officials from the Sacramento Fire Department were among the first to arrive in the scene to assist the injured victim. Paramedics were reported to have provided treatment, although it was not made clear as to whether or not the victim had to be transported to a hospital. The victims’ name was not made immediately available.
The driver who struck the victim reportedly fled the scene without stopping to offer help or cooperate with authorities. Allegedly, the driver was chasing the motorcyclist before the incident. There has been no more information released in regards to the events that transpired or the condition of the rider at this time. Authorities are actively investigating this accident.
