Sacramento, CA (September 3, 2018) – Local authorities confirmed one victim required hospitalization as the result of a two-vehicle collision that took place along the southbound lanes of Highway 99, in the vicinity of the 5 Freeway. The California Highway Patrol initially logged the incident at approximately 11:55 AM on Sunday, August 2, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.

Based on the report, a black Infiniti and a gray Ford Mustang had collided for indeterminate reasons along Highway 99. The resulting impact ultimately caused one of the vehicle’s airbags to deploy. Sometime later, emergency teams were dispatched to the crash site and provided medical aid to at least one victim, who suffered an injury to the arm. As indicated by the information provided by the California Highway Patrol, the circumstances surrounding the crash still remain unknown. As the investigation continues, forensic teams will inspect the Infiniti and the Mustang and examine photos of the crash site to determine if mechanical issues or system failure contributed to the accident in any way. Likewise, officials will consider if one or both drivers had consumed drugs or alcohol prior to operating their vehicles or had simply failed to comply with established traffic laws.

In the event of a traffic accident caused by negligence or wrongdoing, the non-guilty injured victims may have the right to file a personal injury lawsuit against the guilty party and, ultimately, receive compensation for multiple inconveniences including painful injuries, medical bills, and vehicle damage.
