Sacramento, CA. Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver

Sacramento, CA. (July 8, 2018) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck by a motorist at an intersection early Sunday morning, resulting in very serious injuries. The major injury accident took place at around 1:09 a.m. at the intersection of Fruitridge Road and Franklin Boulevard. The driver reportedly fled the scene as opposed to stopping to assist the victim or cooperate with authorities.

Officers reported that the vehicle involved is currently of unknown description. Emergency responders arrived on the scene in order to help the injured victim and an ambulance was reportedly called to the scene as well. The victim was promptly rushed to a local hospital to be treated for the injuries they sustained after the collision.

Reports stated that the driver fled the scene and police are presently looking for that suspect. A full investigation is also underway by authorities looking to determine all the facts surrounding the unfortunate incident. There was no more information made available in regards to the cause of the collision or the name of the victim.
