Salinas, CA – Crash at Reservation and Blanco Roads Leaves One Dead
Salinas, CA (April 10, 2019) – A crash near Reservation Road and Blanco Road killed one and severely injured another on Tuesday around 3:25 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Pontiac Grand Am stopped on Reservation Road and attempted to turn illegally.
While stopped in the road, the Pontiac was hit from behind by a Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup. The force of the collision caused the Pontiac to veer into the opposite lanes and spin.
The Pontiac’s driver, a 39-year-old male, died at the scene of the accident. The CHP further reported that the driver of the pickup truck, a 22-year-old female, was transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment of head injuries.
The names of the deceased and injured were not released. An investigation into the crash is underway.
