San Carlos, CA – Motorcyclist Injured after Collision with Car on Northbound Highway 101 near Holly Street Off-Ramp
San Carlos, CA (August 24, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcyclist sustained injuries as the result of a collision with a car along the northbound lanes of Highway 101, in the vicinity of the Holly Street off-ramp. The incident took place a little after 5:30 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.
Based on the report from CHP officers, an unidentified person was riding a black Harley Davidson motorcycle on Highway 101 when, for indeterminate reasons, it collided with a car. Sometime later, paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and rendered medical aid to the rider, who experienced pain after the accident.
Afterward, the motorcyclist was brought to Seton Medical Center to receive more in-depth treatment. The current condition of this individual was not immediately disclosed.
As part of the initial investigation, authorities shut down Lane 1 and 2 on 101.
As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
