San Diego, CA. 1 Person Killed in Motor Vehicle Accident on Highway 52

San Diego, CA. (June 30, 2018) – According to a reliable news source, one person was tragically killed following a motor vehicle accident on Highway 52 early Saturday morning. The accident reportedly occurred shortly after midnight at approximately 12:36 a.m. The unfortunate crash took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway at Convoy Street.

The initial report by the California Highway Patrol stated that one vehicle apparently overturned onto its side and slammed into the center divider on the highway. The vehicle proceeded to reportedly burst into flames. Firefighters were immediately on the scene and quickly able to extinguish the devastating fire.

Sadly, while the fire was promptly put out, responders were unable to save the driver of the vehicle. The sole occupant of the car suffered injuries that proved to be fatal and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There was no more information available pertaining to the events that led to this accident. At this time, the victims’ name has not been released. Investigators are currently looking to determine the cause of this accident.
