San Diego, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Ruffin Road

San Diego, CA (December 26, 2018) On the 25^th of December, a fatal pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of Ruffin Road and Village Glen Drive Mesa. According to the reports, a vehicle struck a 65-year-old named Virginia Turcotte as she walked across the intersection. Turcotte was walking within the marked crosswalk when the accident occurred at around 7:10 p.m. When the ambulance arrived at the scene, they found Turcotte lying in the roadway suffering from major injuries. They transported her to Sharp Memorial Hospital. Unfortunately, she did not survive her injuries. The 16-year-old driver responsible remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. The accident is currently under investigation.
