San Diego, CA – Homeless Man Injured after Collision along Linda Vista Road and Ulric Street

San Diego, CA (August 2, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a homeless man was injured as the result of a collision with a car that took place along Linda Vista Road and Ulric Street. The incident occurred at an undisclosed time on Monday, July 30, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the pedestrian, the motorist, or additional people involved in the crash has been revealed.

CHP officials initially reported that the homeless pedestrian had been pushing his items in a stroller in an unmarked crossing zone when, without warning, he was struck by an oncoming blue Toyota Echo. Sometime later, one ambulance was dispatched to the site, and paramedics confirmed he had suffered an injury to the head. Later, the man was transported to a nearby hospital for additional treatment. His current physical condition has not been disclosed.

Authorities confirmed the Toyota driver stayed at the scene of the accident and spoke with police, as obliged by law.
