San Diego, CA – Three Children and One Adult Injured After Hit-and-Run Accident at 39th Street and Logan Avenue
San Diego, CA (September 1, 2018) – One adult along with three children suffered injuries following a hit-and-run crash that took place at or near the intersection of 39th Street and Logan Avenue on Friday afternoon, August 31, according to a local news source. The injurious accident which was reported to have occurred in the Mountain View community of San Diego transpired at approximately 1:15 p.m.
Police stated that a black BMW had blown through a stop sign at the intersection, subsequently striking an SUV. As a result of the impact, the SUV overturned onto its roof. Paramedics were immediately called to the scene to render aid to the victims. Inside the overturned vehicle, three children and one adult were found to have sustained unspecified injuries.
The extent of the injuries suffered by the victims is unknown at this time. Police confirmed that there were three occupants inside the BMW that caused the wreck. All three individuals fled the badly damaged vehicle on foot, however, a sixteen-year-old boy returned to the scene later on and was detained by authorities. The teen claims that he was merely a passenger in the vehicle. Investigators are currently examining all the forensic evidence from the scene.
