San Diego, CA. Victim of Fatal Pedestrian Accident on High Bluff Drive Identified as Stacey Curry, 61
San Diego, CA. (June 29, 2018) – The woman who was struck and killed by a motorist on June 15th on High Bluff Drive has been identified this morning as 61-year-old Stacey Curry of Chula Vista. The San Diego Medical Examiner confirmed the deceased pedestrians’ identity.
The unfortunate accident reportedly occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. on June 15, when the woman was walking up a driveway in a parking lot. Curry was walking toward a roundabout when the driver of a delivery van approached the area. According to reports, the driver stopped before proceeding to make a right-hand turn as Curry was still crossing the roundabout. Curry was not entirely out of the way as the van sadly struck her with its right bumper.
After responders arrived on the scene they immediately transported Curry to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Unfortunately, Curry succumbed to her injuries and later died at the hospital at 3:34 p.m. Police are still leading an investigation into this tragic accident in order to determine liability.
