San Diego, CA – Woman Injured in Head-On Collision on Campanile Drive
San Diego, CA (March 21, 2019) – On the morning of March 20th, a head-on collision happened at 5000 Campanile Drive around 4:30 a.m. According to the reports, a woman driving a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser was headed northbound when her vehicle crossed the double yellow line and crashed head-on with a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The collision took place in the College West community.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the woman seriously injured and transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment. The accident caused her to fracture her right ankle, as well as dislocate and fracture her left ankle. It is unclear whether the 35-year-old man driving the pickup truck was injured.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is currently investigating this accident to determine why the woman’s vehicle veered into the other lane.
