San Diego, CA – Woman Severely Injured during Brutal Collision on Esplanade Court Entrance at Westfield UTC Mall

San Diego, CA (August 6, 2018) – Local police reported that a woman sustained severe injuries after a brutal collision with a sedan that occurred at the Esplanade Court entry point to the Westfield UTC Mall. The incident happened at approximately 12:50 PM in the afternoon on Sunday, August 5, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identity of the female pedestrian or the 38-year old male motorist involved in the crash has been revealed.

Based on initial police reports, the 38-year old man had been driving a Hyundai sedan into the parking lot of the Westfield UTC Mall when, without warning, the female pedestrian appeared from behind a parked vehicle. Immediately, the driver plowed into the woman as she stepped into the direct path of his sedan.
