San Francisco, CA – 22-Year-Old Skateboarder Critically Injured on Lawson Street

San Francisco, CA (February 20, 2019) – On the 19^th of February, a vehicle struck a 22-year-old skateboarder at the intersection of Lawton Street and Funston Avenue. According to the reports, the pedestrian accident took place at around 5:10 p.m. in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset district.

The 39-year-old man driving the vehicle struck the skateboarder with the front-right side of their car. The roadway did not have any designated bicycle lanes and there were vehicles parked near the sidewalks, but the reports do not indicate whether the skateboarder was riding across the intersection or next to the parked vehicles.

When the paramedics arrived to help, they found the skateboarder suffering from critical injuries and transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Fortunately, the driver responsible remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
