San Francisco, CA – Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident Claims Life of Motorcyclist on 23rd and Arkansas Streets
San Francisco, CA (August 26, 2018) – According to a report filed by the San Francisco Police, one person was struck and killed in a crash that involved a hit-and-run driver on Saturday afternoon in the Potrero Hill neighborhood. The injurious crash which was reported to have transpired in the vicinity of 23rd Street and Arkansas Street took place just a little while before 4:00 p.m.
According to San Francisco Police report, a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle just by the intersection. Emergency medical personnel were immediately called to the scene in order to assist the victim, however, their efforts proved fruitless as the victim tragically died from their injuries. It was not specified as to whether or not the victim died at the scene or was transported to a local hospital.
The motorist who struck the victim did not remain at the scene to cooperate with authorities but fled the area instead. The police promptly conducted a search and it was reported that they have made an arrest in connection with the incident. No further information regarding the events that caused this collision have been released at this time and no names have been provided. Authorities are actively conducting a full investigation into this incident.
