San Francisco, CA – Motorcyclist Injured after Collision with Car on Northbound Highway 101 near Cesar Chavez Street
San Francisco, CA (August 14, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a motorcyclist sustained injuries as the result of a collision with a car on the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Cesar Chavez Street. Officers initially logged the incident at approximately 5:46 PM in the afternoon on Monday, August 13, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the motorcyclist and the motorist involved in the crash has been revealed.
According to CHP reports, an unidentified person was riding a motorcycle on Highway 101 and, for indeterminate reasons, crashed into a car. Sometime later, paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and rendered aid to the rider, who experienced pain after the impact. The current physical condition of this individual was not immediately disclosed.
Afterward, authorities discovered a cracked bumper, which may have been thrown from the car’s rear wheel, at the crash site. Police did not indicate if the driver had remained at the site.
Crews successfully removed wreckage from the roadway at approximately 6:20 PM in the evening.
As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
