San Francisco, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on 80 Freeway

San Francisco, CA (July 28, 2018) – An alleged hit-and-run driver left a motorcyclist hospitalized following a collision that occurred Friday night on the Interstate 80 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The injurious accident that took place near Treasure Island reportedly happened at around 7:53 p.m.

A report that was released by the California Highway Patrol stated that the motorcyclist had been struck by the vehicle near the Treasure Island off-ramp in the eastbound lanes of the Freeway. Officials from the San Francisco Fire Department as well as the paramedics were the first to arrive on the scene in ore=der to assist the victim. Upon their arrival, the responders reportedly found the rider suffering from injuries that were later classified as minor. The injured motorcyclist had been complaining of pain in their left foot and ankle.

The driver who struck the rider did not stop to help the victim but fled the scene instead. The name and current condition of the victim have not released at this time, and no further details have been made available in regards to this accident. The events surrounding the crash are currently under investigation as authorities are attempting to locate the suspect.
