San Francisco, CA – Pedestrian Accident at Golden Gate and Leavenworth Leads to Serious Injuries in One

San Francisco, CA (March 7, 2019) – Police responded to a serious pedestrian accident that left a pedestrian with severe injuries near an intersection on Tuesday morning.

The accident allegedly took place around 10:31 a.m. in the area of Golden Gate Avenue and Leavenworth Street. At the time, a 58-year-old woman, whose name was not released, was walking in the street and trying to cross the road at the intersection. A vehicle traveling on the same road collided with her.

The driver was identified as a 36-year-old man who claimed that he did not see the woman crossing the street and, when he did notice her, it was already too late.

The victim suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital for immediate treatment. Police did not arrest the motorist.

The accident is still under investigation at this time.
