San Francisco, CA (April 26, 2019)- Despite reports by BART train employees about dysfunctional train doors, a woman was hurt on a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Muni train when the train door closed on her hand.
The accident took place on April 12 at around 2:30 pm at the Embarcadero station. Surveillance video showed that the victim attempted to enter the train when the doors closed on her hand. The video showed her speaking with an employee just before she was pulled under the train as it began to move.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and her family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.
