San Francisco, California – Five People Injured After Suspected Hit-and-Run Near Embarcadero and Sansome Street
San Francisco, California (June 27, 2018) – San Francisco local news sources reported that five people sustained injuries from a suspected hit-and-run accident that occurred in the vicinity of The Embarcadero and Sansome Street, near Pier 29. The incident took place at approximately 4:14 PM in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Authorities have not released detailed information concerning the identities of the five people involved in the crash at this time.
Based on police reports, a father, mother, and their two children, all from British Columbia, were heading down the Embarcadero and Sansome Street at the same time the driver of a pedicab was traveling through the same route. Without warning, the family’s vehicle and the pedicab were struck by an unidentified vehicle, which quickly sped away from the scene.
As per the report, the family sustained moderate to severe injuries as a result of the crash and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital. While the father and children, ages 5 and 8, were not severely injured, the mother was revealed to be in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the pedicab driver was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to receive treatment for traumatic injuries. Medical records indicated this individual was in critical condition.
Law enforcement confirmed the culprit fled the scene and did not help the victims. Authorities have partially identified the vehicle as a sedan, light in color, which was reportedly traveling towards the Bay Bridge.
Police have prompted civilians to call their department at (415) 575-4444 or text officials at TIP411, making sure to enter SFPD in the beginning sentence.
We send our most heartfelt prayers and loving thoughts to the victims during this difficult time and wish them swift and efficient recoveries.

Based on this information, the driver of the unidentified sedan will be held accountable for causing a hit-and-run accident and, ultimately, the injuries of five people. Hit-and-run accidents are not to be taken lightly, and fleeing the scene of an accident is considered a cowardly, criminal act.
Once the driver is convicted, the victims will have legal rights to file personal injury lawsuits against the guilty party. By seeking legal assistance, these individuals can receive compensation for a variety of issues including medical bills, vehicle insurance, and painful injuries.
