San Jose, CA – Motorcycle Accident Involving Hit-and-Run Driver on I-280
San Jose, CA (March 4, 2019) – Police responded to a motorcycle accident that led to injuries involving a hit-and-run driver on northbound Interstate 280 Freeway this morning, around 6:25 a.m.
Police say that the motorcyclist was riding along the highway when they were suddenly struck by another driver, causing their motorcycle to lose control and slide over near the center divider of the highway. The accident was so forceful that the motorcycle became fully engulfed in flames.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured rider to the hospital for treatment of open wounds and abrasions. Police reported that the driver who struck the motorcyclist never stopped at the scene to render aid or contact authorities.
At this time, police continue their investigation and search for the suspect.
