San Jose, CA- One Injured When Car Crashes Into Home on Rose Ave
San Jose, CA (May 16, 2019)- A suspected drunk driver hit at least one vehicle before crashing into a house in the Alum Rock neighborhood on Thursday morning.
The California Highway Patrol noted that the incident happened in the 4000 block of Rose Avenue when the driver drove at high speed down the street, striking at least one other vehicle before crashing into the home. The collision damaged the front of the house, including the foundation.
At least one person was transported to the hospital for injuries due to the crash. Whether or not anyone residing in the home was injured is unknown at this time.
The CHP said that the driver will be booked on DUI charges following any necessary medical treatment due to the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
