By law, drivers involved in an accident are required to remain at the scene and cooperate with authorities. Fleeing a crash site is considered a cowardly, criminal act that can result in severe punishment including charges of felony hit-and-run. Based on this information, the suspect driver will be held fully responsible for causing the crash and inflicting injuries on two juvenile victims.

Once the case is resolved, the members of the juvenile victims’ families may have the right to file a personal injury lawsuit on their behalf against the suspect. Through legal intervention, these individuals can receive compensation for inconveniences including painful injuries and medical bills.
