San Leandro, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Accident on 880 Freeway near Washington Avenue

San Leandro, CA – (November 15, 2018) – A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run accident that occurred Wednesday morning in the area of San Leandro. The collision was reported at around 8:46 am on November 14th, on the southbound 880 Freeway near the Washington Avenue on-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist and an unidentified truck were traveling on Interstate 880 when for unknown reasons they collided into one another. The truck driver failed to stop to render aid to the injured rider and fled the scene of the accident. Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the rider who was injured as a result of the accident. The patient’s name and current condition was not immediately available.

At this time, this incident remains under investigation.
