San Marcos, CA – Helen Gomez Hit-And-Run Crash On Smilax Rd
San Marcos, CA (April 20, 2019) – A fatal crash with a pedestrian is the result of an alleged hit-and-run accident. The incident happened on Smilax Rd late Monday evening, April 15.
Officials have identified the pedestrian as 61-year-old San Marcos resident, Helen Gomez.
Sources say that Gomez was walking her dog on Smilax Rd when a vehicle struck her for an unknown reason. The identity of the driver has yet to be released to the public.
The case is still ongoing, and more information will be released as it progresses.
