San Mateo, CA- Motorcyclist Seriously Injured on I-280 Near Sand Hill Rd

San Mateo, CA (May 24, 2019)- A California Highway Patrol report stated that a crash between a motorcycle and a light brown Jeep Wrangler occurred at approximately 10:26 am Wednesday. The crash happened on the 280 Freeway southbound near the Sand Hill Road exit.

According to the CHP, the motorcycle and Jeep collided for reasons unknown. Emergency medical personnel reported to the crash site where both the motorcyclist and the Jeep driver were found in the shoulder of the road on the right side of the Freeway.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for a broken left hand and unspecified major injuries.

The identification and current conditions of the victim are not available at this time.

The crash is under investigation.
