Santa Ana, CA – DUI Wrong-Way Crash Injures Four on 5 Freeway South Of East First St.

Santa Ana, CA (June 8, 2019) – A wrong-way crash involving a DUI suspect occurred on June 8th about 1:30 a.m., that injures four people.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident. According to CHP officers, the crash occurred in northbound lanes just south of East First St.

Four occupants of the white Acura TLX were hit by the suspected DUI driver’s black vehicle. The person suspected of DUI was arrested after driving against traffic in the HOV lane before the collision occurred.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers. The injured parties were transported to local hospitals for treatment and further evaluation.
