Santa Ana, CA – Skateboarder Dies after Brutal Accident along North Spruce Street

Santa Ana, CA (July 22, 2018) – Orange County local sources reported that a fatal accident took place along the 2400 block of North Spruce Street. The incident occurred at some point around 1:30 AM in the early morning hours on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Officials have identified the deceased victim as 24-year old Vanessa Salcido. At this time, no details concerning the identity of the driver involved have been revealed at this time.

As per the article, a vehicle was pulling a skateboard ridden by Salcido along North Spruce when. Without warning, the female skateboarder detached from the vehicle and tumbled to the road along the 2400 block. Later, paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and took Salcido to UCI Medical Center, where she succumbed to her trauma and died at approximately 1:59.

Officers confirmed the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash did remain at the scene and spoke with authorities as obliged by law.
