Santa Cruz, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 1
Santa Cruz, CA – (November 25, 2018) – A male pedestrian was struck and killed by multiple vehicles early Saturday morning in Santa Cruz. The fatal accident occurred around 4:40 am on November 24th on Highway 1 near the Emeline Avenue off-ramp.
According to the initial report, the man was walking on a dark and rainy morning in the northbound lanes when he was suddenly struck by several vehicles. Sadly when first responders arrived at the scene they discovered that the man had died of injuries he sustained in the accident. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of family. All northbound lanes were shut down for several hours as authorities conducted an on-scene investigation.
An investigation into the crash currently is ongoing.
