Santa Maria, CA – Fatal Accident in Area of Union Valley Parkway
Santa Maria, CA (April 5, 2019) – Yesterday afternoon around 5 p.m., a fatal accident took place in the area of the Union Valley Parkway that led to the fatality of one person. The accident took place near the area of California Boulevard.
Police say that, at the time of the crash, a sedan had been traveling north on California Boulevard when it suddenly collided with an Auto Glass pickup truck for reasons that are not known. Both vehicles were forced off of the roadway due to the crash.
Fire department officials and paramedics were immediately called to the scene of the crash, where they discovered that a female driver was dead inside her vehicle. She has not yet been identified.
One other person involved in the wreck was taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries. Parts of the roadway were closed down for quite some time.
The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident continues.
