Santa Rosa, CA. At Least 1 Dead in Collision on Stony Point Road at Scenic Avenue

Santa Rosa, CA. (July 5, 2018) – At least one person was reported to have died early Thursday morning in a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Stony Point Road and Scenic Avenue. The California Highway Patrol stated that the fatal collision occurred at approximately 4:40 a.m. According to the report, one driver fled the scene after the crash.

California Highway Patrol reported a dark-colored Mercedes sedan apparently left the scene after being involved in the collision. As of right now, it is known that two vehicles collided and one fled the scene while at least one victim in the other car reportedly died from their injuries. No more information pertaining to the cause of this accident has been made available.

Neither the name of the victim or if anyone else was injured in the crash is known at this time. The police had to shut down Stony Point Road between Scenic Avenue and Millbrae Avenue as they began their investigation. Police are currently continuing the investigation in an effort to establish the cause of this collision and determine liability.
