Santa Rosa, CA – Brandon Ashby Identified as Victim of Motorcycle Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 101
Santa Rosa, CA (July 13, 2018) – A motorcyclist reportedly sustained very serious injuries following an alleged hit-and-run early Friday morning on Highway 101, according to a reliable news source. The victim of the crash that was reported at around 12:00 a.m. has now been identified as Brandon Ashby, 29, of Santa Rosa.
The report made by the California Highway Patrol stated that Ashby was operating his 1994 Honda motorcycle southbound on Highway 101 when he was struck by another vehicle for reasons that are presently unknown. The injurious crash took place in the vicinity of Steele Lane.
When emergency responders arrived, the victim was reportedly leaning up against a guardrail. He was immediately taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with various injuries including, a dislocated shoulder, a broken ankle, and road rash. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver who caused the crash did not stop to offer assistance or cooperate with authorities, but instead, fled the scene. The suspects’ vehicle has been described as possibly 1996-2000 model of a red Honda Civic.
Police are currently attempting to locate the suspect. The vehicle in question apparently has damage to the front left side including things like a missing black plastic inner fender well and the horizontal door strip on the drivers’ side.
