Seal Beach, CA – James Eric Chang Arrested for Causing DUI Accident on Westminster Avenue

Seal Beach, CA (Feb 13, 2019) On the 10^th of February, a DUI accident happened at a Chevron gas station at 2950 Westminster Avenue. According to the reports, at approximately 11:25 p.m., 44-year-old James Eric Chang was driving northbound on Seal Beach Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle, right before crashing into a gas pump next to a customer pumping gas into their own car. This caused both vehicles to burst into flames, injuring the customer.

When the paramedics arrived, they transported the injured person to a nearby hospital and treated him for non-life-threatening injuries.

The impact of the accident caused $25,000 worth of damages to the two vehicles and $100,000 in damages to the gas station.

The police arrested Chang on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and was booked at the Orange County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
