Pedestrians in Intersections in California
California recently made it legal for pedestrians to start crossing a street while a crosswalk signal’s light is counting down. What this means for drivers is that pedestrians might walk into a crosswalk at any point that the crosswalk is lit and counting down. Staying alert, especially when making right-hand turns at intersections, is very important.
