Serious Injuries Sustained in Rollover Crash on Highway 99 in Modesto

(June 14, 2018) The California Highway Patrol reported that a Thursday morning crash on Highway 99 at Tuolumne Boulevard resulted in one seriously injured child. The collision happened around 10:55 a.m. and the vehicles involved reportedly blocked lanes 1 and 2 for an unspecified period of time.

According to a witness who called 911 operators, one of the vehicles involved in the collision had been swerving on the road before the crash. Unfortunately, a child had ended up trapped inside the vehicle after it rolled over during the accident. Paramedics were, fortunately, able to free the young child and immediately transported the boy to a local hospital. At this time, it is still unknown if there were other people injured in the crash.

Reportedly, two other vehicles had stopped in the center divider o assist those who were hurt in the accident. Currently, it is unclear whether or not this was a crash due to mechanical failure or one persons’ negligence, or if there were any other vehicles involved in the crash. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
