Silverado, California – One Dead after Fatal Accident on Santiago Canyon Road, South of Blue Diamond Haul Road
Silverado, California (July 4, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a fatality as the result of an accident that took place on Santiago Canyon Road, south of Blue Diamond Haul Road in the Silverado area. The incident occurred at approximately 12:42 AM in the morning on Wednesday, July 04, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the deceased victim or any other people involved in the crash at this time.
As per the CHP reports, a Toyota Corolla and an unidentified blue car were traveling along Santiago Canyon Road when, for indeterminate reasons, the two vehicles collided. Afterward, wreckage from the crash blocked the main roadway. First responders including firefighters declared one person had died at the crash site. Officials did not specify the total number of victims involved in the accident.
As part of the investigation, law enforcement shut down all lanes on Santiago Canyon.
Presently, the CHP has assumed control over the rest of the case.
