Simi Valley, CA – Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident at Madera Road and Easy Street

Simi Valley, CA (March 1, 2019) – This month, police responded to a hit-and-run bicycle accident that took place at the intersection of Madera Road and Easy Street.

The driver who struck the bicyclist has since been identified as 27-year-old Fermin Martin, of Simi Valley. Martin had been in a Dodge Dart at the time when he allegedly drove through a red light and struck the bicyclist.

At the time, police say that the bicyclist was attempting to cross Easy Street. The Simi Valley Police Department were able to find surveillance showing the Dodge Dart that struck the bicyclist and discovered that Martin never stopped at the scene of the accident.

The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released. Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to this accident.
