Solano, CA – Pedestrian Injured in Traffic Accident on Interstate 680 near Gold Hill Road
Solano, CA – (November 11, 2018) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by an oncoming vehicle in Solano on Saturday evening. The collision happened on the southbound lanes of the 680 Freeway near Gold Hill Road at about 6:24 pm on November 10th.
As per the initial report, two unidentified vehicles were traveling on Interstate 680 approaching Golden Hill Road when they violently collided into one another. The force of the impact caused one of the vehicles to spin out of control and strike a 32-year-old man who was walking along the roadway. Paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and discovered the 32-year-old man unconscious lying in the roadway. An ambulance was used to transport the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment of severe injuries to the head. Officials confirmed, at least one other person is reported to have sustained injuries in the collision. The identities of the people involved in the accident and the extent of their injuries were not immediately disclosed. Authorities are working to determine the sequence of events that led to this tragic accident.
