Solvang, CA – Head-On Collision at Highway 154 and Calkins Road

Solvang, CA. (July 11, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a head-on collision that occurred on state route Highway 154 Wednesday morning. The injurious accident apparently took place at around 11:34 a.m. on the Highway at Calkins Road in Solvang.

Reports stated that the collision occurred between a silver Toyota Corolla and a red Mazda Miata, as well as a large recreational vehicle that was apparently involved. The exact events that transpired in order to result in this accident are currently unknown. However, police reportedly responded to the crash along with paramedics to assist anyone who may have been hurt during the crash.

The extent of injuries, like the cause of the collision, is not clear at this time. Authorities have not said how many people were hurt in the accident, or their conditions at the moment. The damaged vehicles involved had to be towed away from the scene as authorities called in tow trucks from both Oliveras and Smitty’s. A full investigation into this crash is presently being conducted in an effort to determine the cause and who may have been liable.
