Sonoma, CA- Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Golf Cart Crash at Sonoma Raceway
Sonoma, CA (June 25, 2019)- A suspected DUI golf cart driver hit a pedestrian at the Sonoma Raceway on Sunday at approximately 5:20 pm. The pedestrian suffered major injuries as a result of the crash.
According to authorities, 41-year-old Bethany Garcia, of Redwood City, was driving the car through the parking lot when she turned and hit 46-year-old Carson City, NV resident Rachel Albee.
Albee was transported by air ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Garcia was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
