Sonoma County, CA – 18-Year-Old Mallory Parker Dies in Fatal Vehicle Wreck on Occidental Road
Sonoma County, CA (January 15, 2019) On the 14th of January, a fatal vehicle wreck happened near Sebastopol at around 2:15 p.m. According to the reports, an 18-year-old named Mallory Parker was driving a 1995 Saturn at a high speed on Occidental Road when she lost control of her vehicle, causing her to sweep the curb. Her vehicle then crashed into a parked Ford F-250 tree-trimming company’s truck.
An employee from the tree-trimming company was nearby and got hit by the truck after Parker’s vehicle struck it. The impact of the crash caused the company truck to rear-end a Chevrolet Silverado.
Unfortunately, by the time emergency crews arrived at the scene, Parker had already suffered fatal injuries.
We hope that the injured tree worker will fully recover from his injuries. We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Mallory Parker who tragically lost her life in this accident.
The accident is currently under investigation as authorities work to determine causation and liability.

According to recent studies, about 31 percent of all fatal crashes are caused by speeding. Some drivers speed when they’re in a rush or under the influence. Others may have mechanical errors that cause them to drive at high speeds without being able to safely brake. No matter the reason, speeding is considered a form of negligence that seriously injures and kills drivers, passengers, and pedestrians every day.
Because this accident appears to be caused by negligence, the pedestrian may be able to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a California personal injury attorney.
