Sonoma County, CA. Victim of Fatal Crash on Bennet Valley Road Identified

Sonoma County, CA. (June 30, 2018) – A fatal traffic collision took place on Bennet Valley Road in Sonoma County on Thursday, June 28.  According to a local news source, the victim has now been identified as Gary Edward James, 66. The report stated that James was riding his Vespa scooter on Bennet Valley Road, westbound when he was approaching the intersection by Grange Road. James reportedly crashed into the driver’s side of a passing truck that was also heading westbound at the time.

Initial reports said that James was unfortunately thrown off his scooter due to the impact of the collision. Emergency crews responded to the accident immediately and arrived on the scene to assist James. Responders promptly transported James to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where he tragically died from his injuries. Authorities identified the driver of the truck as Rebecca Woodruff, and she was reportedly unharmed during the accident.
