Sonora, CA – Pedestrian Dies after Fatal Accident along Mono Way near Truckenmiller Road

Sonora, CA (July 12, 2018) – The Sonora Police Department reported that a fatal pedestrian accident took place along Mono Way near Truckenmiller Road. The incident occurred a little before midnight on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the people that were involved in the crash at this time.

As per the Sonora Police report, a 44-year old man was walking eastbound on Mono Way when he was struck by a 2008 Prius driven by a 30-year old from Tuolumne City. Authorities have not officially confirmed if the pedestrian was walking down the highway or had attempted to cross Mono. Afterward, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from severe trauma.
