South Lake Tahoe, CA – Rider Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Lake Tahoe and Johnson Boulevards

South Lake Tahoe, CA (July 26, 2018) – A local and dependable news source in South Lake Tahoe reported a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcyclist that resulted in the death of the latter on Lake Tahoe Boulevard Thursday morning. The fatal crash that reportedly occurred at or near Johnson Boulevard apparently took place at about 6:15 a.m.

The South Lake Tahoe Police stated that the motorcyclist was apparently traveling east on Lake Tahoe Boulevard when the driver of a pickup truck allegedly turned onto Lake Tahoe westbound from Johnson Boulevard. The motorcycle rider purportedly hit the brakes but was unable to avoid colliding into the side of the pickup truck.

Emergency crews promptly arrived on the scene although they were unable to help the injured rider as the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck reportedly remained at the scene in order to cooperate with authorities. There was no more information released in regards to the victims’ identity or the exact reason for the accident. Authorities are currently examining every aspect of this collision.
