Spring Valley, CA – 45-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Accident Near Jamacha Road
Spring Valley, CA (February 14, 2019) – A 45-year-old man was struck and killed Wednesday morning near Jamacha Road in Spring Valley while he was out jogging, according to police.
The accident took place around 4:25 a.m. near the area of Jamacha Road and Darby Street. A jogger had been wearing dark clothing while heading westbound in the right lane of the roadway when he was suddenly struck by an oncoming 2000 Chevy Tahoe SUV.
There had been a 31-year-old man driving the SUV. They stopped and cooperated with the police to determine what happened at the time of the crash. Intoxication is not believed to be have been a factor.
The pedestrian, whose name has not yet been released, suffered severe trauma and died at the scene of the accident.
