Spring Valley, CA – Tow Truck Driver Struck by Vehicle on State Route 125

Spring Valley, CA (August 7, 2018) – A tow truck driver who was stopped alongside State Route 125 in order to help a disabled motorist was reportedly struck by an oncoming vehicle early on Tuesday morning, according to a local news report. The collision took place around 3:25 a.m. and resulted in serious injuries.

The victim was standing next to his tow truck on the shoulder of the roadway when he was hit by the Chrysler Sedan. The vehicle pinned the victim up against his truck which resulted in serious leg injuries. Paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene in order to render aid to the victim. The injured man was promptly transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The driver of the Chrysler remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with authorities. The driver stated that they were attempting to exit the freeway and turn onto Jamacha Road when he collided with the victim. No further information has been made available at this time, and authorities are currently conducting a full investigation into the collision.
