Stallion Springs, CA – Janine Marie Westberg Killed in Fatal Bicycle Crash

Stallion Springs, CA (January 30, 2019) – Police responded to a fatal bicycle crash involving a vehicle that took the life of 32-year-old Janine Marie Westberg at a Stallion Springs intersection.

Police responded to the accident on Monday, January 28 at the intersection of Comanche Point and Jacks Hill Road. Westberg, of Bakersfield, had been riding her bicycle southbound when she entered into the intersection and was struck by an eastbound truck. The Ford F-250 struck her with such force that she was ejected from her bicycle.

When responding medical teams arrived at the scene, they found Westberg lying in the street with severe trauma. Tragically, Westberg was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and was reportedly unharmed.

Investigators continue to investigate the accident at this time.
