Stockton, CA – Fatal Car Accident on Interstate 5

Stockton, CA – (December 13, 2018) — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic accident that killed at least one person Thursday afternoon on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Stockton. The accident took place near the bridge over McLeod Lake and was reported at approximately 12:58 pm on December 13^th.  

 According to the Stockton Police Department, an unidentified vehicle veered off of the 5 freeway before violently crashing on the roadway.  First responders found one person who had suffered fatal injuries and another man who was bleeding from his head. Paramedics transported the injured man to a local hospital for treatment of head injuries. The extent of the injuries was not immediately available. Police are working to establish the sequence of events that led up to the accident.
