Stockton, CA – Fatal DUI Crash Along 5 Freeway

Stockton, CA (December 28, 2018) In the early morning of December 25^th, a fatal DUI crash happened along the 5 Freeway, just north of Matthews Road. According to the reports, a male tow truck operator was loading a vehicle onto his tow truck when a 2001 GMC crashed into him. The 25-year-old who operated the GMC was under the influence when his vehicle spun out of control and hit the tow truck operator and his truck.  The GMC then rolled over and crashed into two other vehicles. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the tow truck operator dead on the freeway. The drunk driver, Kylle Thomasson, was medically cleared and then arrested for suspicion of felony manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

We are deeply sorry to know that an innocent man lost his life in this accident. We send our condolences to his family as they work through this heartbreaking time.
