Sunnyvale, CA – Male Pedestrian Dies after Collision with Vehicle near South Pastoria and Wets Iowa Avenues

Sunnyvale, CA (August 6, 2018) – The Sunnyvale Police Department reported that a male pedestrian died as the result of a brutal collision with a vehicle that took place in the vicinity of South Pastoria and West Iowa Avenues. The incident happened a little before 10:49 PM at night on Saturday, August 4, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the deceased man or the driver involved in the crash has been revealed.

Based on the initial report from Sunnyvale Police, the 46-year old man had been struck by an oncoming vehicle along South Pastoria and West Iowa. As of now, authorities are still unsure as to what the pedestrian had been doing leading up to the time of the accident. Sometime after the incident, police officers confirmed the man had died at the accident site.

The report also affirmed the motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
